Mission Statement
The mission of No Limits Media is: creating, supporting and disseminating media information programs and products promoting the full participation of people with disability in the world community.
Drawing on the possibilities, the freedoms, afforded by the marriage of video, multi-media and the internet, No Limits Media looks forward to exploring further, developing and deepening the community of people with disability.
It used to be that each one of us, members of the community of people with disability, had vast stores of hard-won knowledge, experience, and information, not to mention carefully collected resources. We each maintained our stores as best we could with Post-It-Notes, file cabinets full of paper, and Rollodexes overflowing with business cards. We enthusiastically shared whatever we knew when asked. But who knew who had the tidbit of information we needed? Who knew, for that vacation in Boston which were the best seats at Fenway if you used canes to get around? For that vacation in Chicago, they say it's accessible, but will you be comfortable in your chair in The Underground Wonder Bar, which is supposed to be the best jazz club in town?
With the focus of BeyondLimits.TV we intend to put in place a site that will craft involving narratives which will feature all that hard-won knowledge, experience, and information, not to mention the carefully collected resources you'd love to share if only you knew who needed it, will have a home. As we add blogs, innovative data base and wiki aggregation systems and a background of involving stories we hope to integrate the whole communitiy into building the BeyondLimits.TV resource together.
You can help make this happen. Tired of seeing television crated a barrier by only showing stories on disabilities which focus on the pitiful or conversely amazing inspirations? What's your story? We need your help to focus on the unique, remarkable finished products we each are. Imagine the difference if we laugh a lot and look at how we got this way, at what we tried that didn't work, at what sometimes still doesn't, and at what did. In short, what happens if we tell our own stories.
We're each remarkable, but we're all still human! Are you doing interesting stuff? Tell us about it, and be prepared to tell us how you made it happen. We want others to be able to be able to follow in your footsteps, your tread marks, whatever.

BeyondLimits.TV is a breakthrough concept in internet publishing. This is an interactive monthly magazine created for the everyone who understands what it is like to go beyond the limits that life throws our way. By combining video stories, print, Blogs and Web-based resources we (No Limits Media) intend to capture the multimedia power of the Internet. This new publication incorporates streaming video podcasts and other interactive services to activate, inform and entertain the significant but unrecognized demographic of people with disability.
We believe that the community of people who live with various disabilities, their families, friends and supporters constitutes a valuable and under-served audience. And we intend to provide that service. We believe that we understand the unique challenges and gifts of the life condition of disabilities and that beyondlimits.tv will integrate high quality video and editorial content and the Internet with an emerging special interest demographic. We intend to take advantage of the unique strengths of a wide variety of media so that BeyondLimits.TV becomes the communications network of choice, to serve and strengthen the community of people with physical disability.
